Now video and audio shenanigans are prevalent; we call them “deep fake” to highlight the intricacy of the lie they hope to perpetrate.
You desire and need authenticity. People search for what is real, for what can withstand scrutiny and hold up under investigation. Various groups ask Jesus to demonstrate His authenticity. They want to know Jesus is the real Messiah. Luke shows Jesus is authentically God. Jesus is God’s representative. He is God’s Messiah.
